Cầu Á Lữ khởi công, dự án trọng điểm kết nối TP Bắc Giang với phường Mỹ Độ và các Khu Công Nghiệp trọng điểm. Hứa hẹn sẽ là cú hích mới cho phát triển kinh tế, tạo  nên “vòng tròn kết nối” qua sông thương.

Theo thông tin từ Ban Quản lý dự án đầu tư xây dựng TP Bắc Giang, công trình cầu Á Lữ dự kiến khởi công trong quý II 2022.

Theo thiết kế, cầu Á Lữ dài 426 m, được xây dựng bằng bê tông cốt thép, bê tông cốt thép dự ứng lực bắc qua sông Thương. Bề rộng mặt cầu chính vượt sông 19,5 m. Tải trọng thiết kế HL93, tĩnh không thông thuyền (40×7) m.

Trên cầu bố trí đèn chiếu sáng 2 bên; hệ thống an toàn giao thông gồm vạch sơn, gờ giảm tốc, cọc tiêu, biển báo. Đường dẫn cầu Á Lữ có tổng chiều dài hơn 404 m. Công trình do Ban Quản lý dự án đầu tư xây dựng TP Bắc Giang làm chủ đầu tư, được xây dựng nhằm kết nối trung tâm TP với phường Mỹ Độ kết nối với các Khu công nghiệp trọng điểm của tỉnh Bắc Giang qua đường dẫn phía Tây 56m do 379 thi công ( công trình này 379 hiện đã làm xong ): KCN Việt Hàn, KCN Song Khê – Nội Hoang, KCN Vân Trung, KCN Đình Trám. . Trong đó, đường dẫn đầu cầu phía phường Trần Phú dài 169,1 m, chiều rộng mặt cắt ngang 33,5 m-37,5 m; đường dẫn phía cuối cầu thuộc phường Mỹ Độ dài 235,2 m, chiều rộng mặt cắt ngang 36 m (mặt đường bằng bê tông nhựa). Ngoài ra còn đường gom và đường tránh dưới đê.

Tổng mức đầu tư công trình cầu Á Lữ và đường dẫn hơn 600 tỷ đồng từ vốn vay Ngân hàng Phát triển châu Á và ngân sách TP Bắc Giang.
